COUNSELORS
Be a leader to a cabin of campers, guiding them through the daily schedule, being aware of their spiritual needs and in tune with the Lord’s working in their lives. Camp experience preferred.
Training begins at the end of May when the entire Summer Staff comes together for an exciting time to get to know each other, try-out the summer games, make personal decisions to prepare your heart for an exciting summer of ministry and lifetime of service. When you come for a summer of ministry at Chetek, we don't want it to be just for a summer, but rather for a lifetime. Many former Summer Staff from Camp Chetek come back and visit us, and share their testimonies and how God has used a summer or even a few weeks at Camp Chetek to give them opportunities that helped shape or encourage their ministries.
One of the unique characteristics is the opportunities to be a part of our "Camp Chetek Sundays". Several weekends during the summer, the entire summer staff has the opportunity to travel to a nearby church and present testimonies about camp, sing in special music ensembles, or even be part of a Sunday School Class or Junior Church program.
Filling out an application online is quick and easy. Please contact us if you have any questions.

The TEAM program consists of a teen being involved in a week of "Training Camp" which will include teaching sessions, preaching sessions, activity times, and serving times. When finished with "Training Camp", you will have two weeks of serving in the kitchen, cleaning or maintenance areas of camp. Each day involves work opportunities, spiritual challenges and outdoor recreation. Work assignments for young men consist primarily of help on the Maintenance Staff, while young ladies assist in our Dining Hall and Housekeeping Department. However, both are asked to help in a variety of ministry aspects. T.E.A.M. also provides varied opportunities for spiritual growth through the teaching and application of God's Word. Daily chapel services, personal devotions, group devotions, and junior counseling opportunities (during junior weeks only) ground teens in Biblical truths necessary for effective ministry.
Of course, Camp Chetek is also about fun! Daily recreational activities, fellowship with other Members and a weekly party offer balance to teens entering active ministry.
The TEAM program is for teens who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, and who demonstrate a desire to grow spiritually in their Christian walk. They must:
- Be a high school student (entering 10th-12th grade, or graduating from high school this spring)
- Have parental permission
