Miriam Marriott

As the daughter of a well-known Baptist pastor and godly mother, David, and Mary Cummins, Miriam came to know the Lord as her Savior at a young age. Miriam met her husband, Marty Marriott, at Maranatha Baptist University where she majored in Secondary Education and minored in Speech.

Miriam Marriott After graduating from the college, the Lord led the Marriotts to plant Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. They later served in the pastorate in Pennsylvania and Michigan. After serving for thirteen years as the President of Maranatha Baptist University, Marty became the Chancellor in 2023.

Miriam loves being in the ministry with her husband, and she is quite involved in teaching and mentoring women. Her weekly meetings with college-age girls, “Girl Talk with Mrs. M,” reflects the desire of her heart to share God’s goodness with all ladies. Although she has enjoyed many areas of responsibility, her greatest passion is the private and public ministry of the Word of God to women.

Their three children and families are all serving the Lord.  Miriam’s life verse is 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work.”
